Rules of the Dojo

· Bow whenever entering or leaving the dojo.

· Address your instructor(s) as “Sensei”.

· Display courtesy and respect for instructors, fellow students, and visitors at all times.

· Students should remove all jewelry (rings, necklaces, earrings) before class for the safety of themselves and others.

· Students should remove socks and shoes before entering dojo.

· Students should arrive for class on time in a clean uniform (gi) with belt properly tied around waist.

· Students should not leave class for a break, water, or early dismissal without permission.

· No food, candy, or gum is allowed in the dojo.

· When class is scheduled to begin, line up quickly and quietly in order of rank.

· No sparring is allowed without the permission of an instructor.

· No running/horseplay is allowed in the dojo.

· Maintain proper hygiene by keeping your body clean with fingernails and toenails trimmed properly.

· Do not ask to test for a promotion. Your instructor will inform you when you are ready.

· As a sign of respect and responsibility, monthly dues should be paid on time.

· Show enthusiasm, spirit, and good sportsmanship at all times.
